Bill Sclafani

Bill started taking drum lessons at 6 years old, after tagging along with his father, Joe, to band rehearsals. He became Rory O'Moore's lead drummer in 2013 due to Paul Wood's health preventing him from giving 110%; something he held for over 15 years. Bill and Paul still collaborate and co-instruct, after they've thoroughly busted each other's chops.

Bill will experiment with anything that makes noise when hit, but also dabbles with guitar, banjo, bass, & drum kit. He has been a student of Martin Duffy, Eric MacNeill & Colum Lundt, and has taken lessons from Reid Maxwell & John Fisher. Bill is currently a Grade II solo competitor and has taught the ROMSPB, Morris County Police, and Col. D.B. Kelly Pipes & Drums. In 2012, he had the honor of competing in the Grade I circle of the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow with the Oran Mor Pipe Band, where they came just shy of the final. in 2016, BIll played with the Worchester Kilties Grade 3 band and they won the World Pipe Band Championship in Grade 3 in Glascow.

Bill hopes to provide his same experiences to aspiring students, while gaining new ideas and perspectives on the art for years to come.
