The Rory O’Moore School of Pipes and Drums, a 501(c) 3 organization, was founded in 1995 by a dedicated group of pipers and drummers seeking to bring something different to the pipe band scene in Northern New Jersey. The organization is a member of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association and currently has bands competing in Grade IV and V throughout the northeastern United States. The organization also appears in no less than 40 parades and civic events throughout the year supporting a variety of causes.
The band’s musical leadership is Pipe Major Keith Wood, Pipe Sergeant Matt Wood, and Lead Drummer Paul Wood. Instructors to the band include Jim Stack, Joey McGonigal, and Eric MacNeill.
The Rory O'Moore School of Pipes and Drums wears the Modern Baird tartan.
